Latest Royal Mail Strike Dates

Sadly it has been further advised of the following Royal Mail strike dates below. During these days we will not be closing business, instead, we will have no other choice but to use an alternative delivery method not affected by the strikes.

Strike Dates Confirmed:

The strike days all begin at 4 am on the first day and last for 24 hours until the following day. They are as follows

Dates have been Confirmed by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of the Royal Mail operation on the following:

  • Friday 9th December
  • Sunday 11th December
  • Wednesday 14 December
  • Thursday 15 December

The day before a strike:

We will use Royal Mail Special Delivery service for all orders the day before a strike, this will ensure arrival the next day even on a strike day, sadly, however, this will require a signature. We will include any orders pre-booked for the day before the strike and the day of the strike. By pre-booked we mean before 11 am the day before the strike. Therefore any orders after 11 am the day before the strike will be dispatched according to “on the strike day” section below.

On a strike day:

We will dispatch all items via Special Delivery by Royal Mail, this service is not affected by the strikes but we still recommend a 1-2 day allowance for possible delays.

Special delivery will require a signature therefore its important somebody is in or a message for the postman is left.

Same-day dispatches during strike days:

We will need to close off same-day dispatch orders earlier than our usual 11 am time during these strike dates as we will need to start baking orders in the early hours of the morning to accommodate Morning parcel pickup time making same-day dispatch not possible during Royal Mail strike days Only.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
